Well now we've heard just about everything: A growing number of women are opting for eyelash transplants, reports CBS's The Early Show. Healthy hair is taken from the back of the head, separated into individual follicles and threaded through a surgical needle. They become permanent, growing eyelashes when transplanted into the upper eyelid. Unlike false lashes, "There's no worrying they're gonna fall out in the middle of dinner," says one recipient. "They're long, they're beautiful, and they're everything I had wanted." 40 lashes per eye comes at a cost of $6,000 and an hour (per eye) of surgery under local anesthetic. Since the lashes grow, they need to be trimmed. It doesn't sound worth the trouble but we swear we're not judging. Cross our hearts and hope to die, stick a needle in... Nevermind. [CBS]
