'Vogue' Now More Of A Capitalist's Wet Dream Than Ever

Proving what others have long said (and we say, like, every day!), Vogue magazine is not an editorial product, but advertising framed as editorial. And now the good folks at the magazine's publisher, Condé Nast, are taking "The Fashion Bible" to the wonderful world of broadband internet, reports DMNews, debuting a new show, ShopVogue.tv. At last: The magazine, boiled down to nothing more than the products it hocks— and where to get them! We hate to tell Si Newhouse, but we think this sort of television program already exists: It's called the Home Shopping Network. Although we'd give anything to see Anna Wintour shilling gold plated earrings alongside Balenciaga schoolboy jackets.
