As we said at the beginning of the week, some of us here at Jezebel are nerds and in love with the Discovery Channel show How It's Made, a low-budget, 30-minute program about the manufacturing of various consumer products. We also said we'd be posting clips from the show from time to time. Well, we'd like to add that some of us here at Jezebel eat animal-meat regularly and feel increasingly conflicted about it, especially after seeing footage like that in the clip above. For those people who say they love animals but are "too sensitive" to come face to face with the sad reality that is food production, please, get over it. Also, don't worry: There's no murder or even a drop of blood to be seen here. Just yellow, downy, recently-hatched baby chickens... on a conveyor belt.
