We're extremely sad to report that a player of one of our favorite sports (baseball) who was once a prospect for our favorite team (the NY Mets) and appeared on one of our least-favorite shows (Sex and the City) has been arrested on charges that he beat his girlfriend's cat to death. Gawker kind of sums up our sentiments here, but we'd like to send a warning shot over the bow of that leaking, rusty-ass ship populated by the world's cat-hating, cat-envying men:

Get over yourselves, assholes.
