18-Year-Old Florida Teen Becomes Youngest To Pass Bar Exam in UK

Latest

Good job, Florida! You’re in the news for something that doesn’t involve something terrible, horrible, or downright terrifying. Gooooo team!

Of course, the good thing didn’t actually happen in Florida — that would be too ridiculous. But Floridian 18-year-old Gabrielle Turnquest recently became the youngest person to pass the bar exam in the UK.

“I am honored to be the youngest person to pass the Bar exams but, really, I was not aware at the time what the average age was,” she told The Telegraph. “I didn’t fully realize the impact of it.”

She comes from a line of super smarty pants, because although the average age of a typical lawyer graduating from The University of Law’s Bar Professional Training Course is 27, her older sister Kandi passed it 22. Uh, can their parents volunteer to raise America? Or, like, at least make them the Secretaries of Education, or something.

This brings even more impressiveness from a teenager who graduated with a degree from Liberty University in Virginia at the age of 16. Young Turnquest — that last name is worthy of a Game of Thrones family, no? — plans to build a career as a fashion law specialist.
